The standard for electrical installations in hazardous areas is harmonized worldwide. This simplifies not only the supply of electrical equipment but, increasingly, also its applications. In addition to conventional installation methods using cables (Europe and Asia), we also carry out installation work with conduit and sealing fittings in accordance with American standards.

Explosionproof plug-and-socket devices, built-in units, motor protecting switches, terminal boxes and their components find application in all areas of the chemical industry, in plant engineering and on offshore platforms. In addition to functionality, ruggedness and resistance to aggressive media, their safety features and ease of installation play a major role.

We supply plug-in units, from low-voltage versions for signal processing up to 690 V devices. Self-cleaning contacts, constructed as spring-loaded contact lamella cages, guarantee a low contact resistance and hence reduced heating at the point of contact.

Our complete range of explosionproof terminal boxes provides a solution for every problem. With our modular system we can cover any application from a simple junction box to a distribution board with builtin bus elements. An ingenious assembly system not only lowers the installation costs but is also quick to replace for maintenance purposes – a first response to demands for assembly without needing tools. Of course, we also provide a full range of cable glands in various sizes.

In many cases, the standard requires the safe disconnection of electrical devices. For servicing work, the safety switches (EN 13849-1) can be locked out with padlocks, so that only authorized persons have access to them.
