Multipurpose distribution, switching and control units in "flameproof enclosure" protection

This range, which includes different enclosure types (categories 2 G and 2 D), is designed for duty in gas groups IIC and IIB for Zone 1 and 2 areas at risk of gas explosions to EN 50014, EN 50018 and IEC 60079-1 as well as for Zones 21 and 22 to EN 50281-1-1. The enclosures are made of either a copper-free aluminum alloy or welded sheet steel. The powder-coating finish is tropicalized and resistant to seawater.
Ordinary industrial switching devices, which can produce arcs and sparks, can be installed in the flameproof enclosures. The enclosures can be fitted with sight glasses and with spindles for actuating circuit breakers.
The associated junction boxes in increased safety protection are suitable for the installation of control and indicating devices that are operated externally.
