Before a new explosionproof product can be marketed, this directive prescribes both a conformity assessment procedure and an Ex audit by an accredited testing body. Germany's Federal Institute of Physics and Metrology (PTB) in Braunschweig successfully audited thuba AG for quality assurance in production.
From the customer's viewpoint, Directive 94/9/EC declares that a product must have:
- the CE mark
- an instruction manual
- the Declaration of Conformity
Starting with equipment design, we warrant that the applicable regulations and standards are complied with. Wherever doubt exists or an exceptionally complex building is being outfitted, we work together with the responsible authorities right at the design stage.
